# App Privacy Answers

Prepared for App Store Connect on May 16, 2026.

## Recommended App Privacy Label

Answer: Data Not Collected

Rationale:

- TrueMonitor does not require a developer-operated account.
- TrueMonitor does not send TrueNAS server details, credentials, metrics, alerts, pool names, dataset names, disk serials, or app/job/service data to the developer.
- Server connection profiles are stored locally on device.
- API keys are stored in iOS Keychain.
- The app connects directly from the user's device to the TrueNAS server configured by the user.

## Data That May Exist On Device

This data is local app data, not collected by the developer:

- Server display name.
- Hostname or IP address entered by the user.
- Port, TLS setting, and protocol preference.
- API key stored in iOS Keychain.
- Recent TrueNAS state returned by the server while the app is in use.

## App Store Connect Fields

- Privacy Policy URL: https://truemonitor.app/privacy.html
- User Privacy Choices URL: Leave blank unless a separate choices page is added.

## Re-check Before Submission

Change the privacy answers if any of these are added later:

- Third-party analytics.
- Crash reporting SDKs that send diagnostics to the developer or a vendor.
- Hosted sync, account login, push notification routing, or remote monitoring backend.
- Support upload, log upload, or telemetry export inside the app.
